Paper-cut

2010

Work around the plastic and graphic materiality of the language. That is translate plastically a semiotic aspect of the word by giving it a volume in the space bounded by the sheet. Sculpture the sentences in the paper to highlight them with sheets of color by playing between the words and the colors.
All the sentences used for this project are borrowed by the everyday life. Little come spinning jenny Holzer with her "Truisms" ("A name means a lot just by itself") which are false clichés.
